About
Plants Beautiful Nursery was founded by the Dittberner family in 1967 and is made up of two farms on about 250 acres, in Parkers Prairie, Minnesota. Our nursery stock is harvested mostly from our White Oaks farm, which has been in the family for over 70 years.
The business started with an interest in planting christmas trees in the 60’s. In the early 70’s the business evolved into more than that and we started planting trees to sell as nursery stock.
Lowell took a special interest in the tree business and studied at the University of Minnesota receiving a degree in horticulture.
Today Lowell, his son, Forest, and their families are the managers of the two properties that grow our trees.
